Methodology

The Sustainable Business Awards (SBA) uses a state-of-the-art process developed by an international team with over 15 years of experience in a wide range of business awards, benchmarking and metrics.

Our rigour

Quality assurance is our utmost priority, with international standards built into every stage of the assessment process, including follow-up interviews, fact-checking, and meticulous examination by the National Advisory Panel. This ensures that winners are selected based on reliable and credible benchmarks that are internationally recognised.

Our questionnaire

The new format will offer all participants an enhanced user experience. The questionnaire can be completed in a few hours and can be saved and continued as required. It supports the uploading of supporting documentation.

National Advisory Panel

The NAP is made up of senior representatives from the business, academia, NGOs, regulatory and media sectors. The NAP provides qualitative perspectives on the shortlisted participants and the diversity of the NAP ensures that all stakeholder values are taken into consideration in the assessment process.

The Scope

As of 2020, GI has upgraded its core SBA offerings to meet the evolving landscape of sustainability solutions. The new SBA format will now include: Selection by Industry Sector; Report aligned to Global Reporting Standards; Market Research by Consumer Perception.
